The St. John’s Farmer’s Market is now a Co-operative! What does that mean for me?

The SJFM Co-op is having a Membership Workshop for current members and anyone interested in becoming a member of the St. John’s Farmer’s Market Co-op.

The session will be held March 9, 2011 6:30pm in the Community Room at Sobey’s on Merrymeeting Rd. The space is limited so please R.S.V.P. to SJFMMC@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you cannot attend this workshop then we will be holding a second one in the near future. The date for the second workshop will be posted soon.

Some things on the Agenda:

• Meet Your Board of Directors
• Get an update on activities
• Ask questions
• Meet Your Committees – get an update and ask questions.

Membership workshop:

• short history of co-ops
• overview of the co-op structure
• basic rights and responsibilities of members
• getting Ready for the 1st. AGM
• open discussion
• Sign Membership Form and arrange for share capital payments.
