JUNE 6, 2013 – St. John’s, Newfoundland – The St. John’s Farmers’ Market had its opening last Saturday, June 1st with record attendance. The market is open again this Saturday, June 8th from 9am-2pm, at the Lions Club Chalet off Bonaventure and Mayor Avenues.
Says Market Manager Margaret Graves, “we had over 2000 people come through on June 1st. We were delighted to have a successful first week!”
New on June 8th are seeds and transplants from Perfectly Perennial, matching mother-daughter aprons from Gail Everson, functional and creative crocheted items from the Obsessive Crochet Diva, visual art from Coombs Town Art, sealskin jewellery from Sealed With A Kiss, and the Purple Raven Boutique, offering specialty jewellery.
