Below is a media release distributed on Thursday, July 18
This Saturday, July 20th, come to the St. John’s Farmers’ Market between 9am and 2pm to buy sea salt made in New Harbour, NL from local vendor Ward George. His pure sea salt will be available at the market for the first time.
Mr. George is excited to have his salt available to the public at the Market, “Newfoundland’s own, Canada’s only… solar sea salt!”
The Market runs every Saturday from June to December at the Lions Club Chalet behind the Remax Centre off Bonaventure and Mayor Avenues. Don’t miss local produce from our farmers, crafts from the talented artisans, and delicious fudge and baked goods. Don’t forget the large tent full of exciting vendors at the back of the market as well.
You can bring your kids and watch Shakespeare for all ages on the lawn out back! Shows by Shakespeare by the Sea are at 11am and 1pm. We always have lively buskers out front, weather depending, and yoga’s at 10:30am on the lawn.
The Market is cash-only. We are environmentally conscious so bring your own re-usable bag and coffee mug. Buy a re-usable container for your food, available at the market’s coffee stand.
