So many farmers – it’s a record!

Please note: We are having some difficulty with our automatically generated weekly vendor list, and as such we are not posting it this week. We apologize for this and are working to fix it.

In lieu of the weekly vendor list, here’s the media release we sent out today.

The St. John’s Farmers’ Market is pleased to announce that we have a record fourteen farmer vendors attending the market this Saturday, September 14th. So come by between 9am and 2pm at the Lions Club Chalet on Bonaventure and Mayor Avenues to pick up your produce and chat with a farmer about how they grow the food you’re about to buy. Rain or shine, you’ll find delicious vegetables and greens for sale.

Check our website at stjohnsfarmersmarket.ca each week on Thursdays to find a list of vendors participating in that Saturday’s market. Farmers that are new at the Market this year include Murray Meadows Farm in Portugal Cove and Stephen Jobson of Flatrock.

Please note that this weekend there is an event at the Remax Centre, located in front of the Lions Club, so parking might be tight on Saturday. Patrons can park across Mayor Avenue at the “Health Plex” and walk into the market.

The Farmers’ Market will be open every Saturday, 9am-2pm, until Christmas. Stop by for your coffee, breakfast, produce, gifts, lunch or just to enjoy the atmosphere. You can buy reusable food containers for your lunch at the coffee table, or bring your own from home, and help us move away from disposables. The market is cash only.
