St. John’s’ La Leche League will be hosting weekly meet-ups at the Market, starting this Saturday, July 5th! If you’re a woman interested in breastfeeding, join the group on the far side of the playground.
A bit of information about LLLC- St. John’s from Communications Volunteer Allison Moyle:
“La Leche League Canada (LLLC) is a national organization that aims to support the health and well-being of children and families by providing mother-to-mother breastfeeding support.
LLLC-St. John’s is Newfoundland and Labrador’s only LLLC group. Our leaders are experienced nursing moms who are trained and accredited by LLLC to provide knowledgeable support and information.
We host monthly meetings, the second Monday of each month, and occasionally have toddler meetings specifically for moms of nursing toddlers, and other enrichment meetings on topics such as babywearing. You can find specific information on our meetings here: http://www.lllc.ca/lllc-st-johns.
This summer we are trying to promote our group by holding weekly meet-ups (weather pending!) at the St. John’s Farmer’s Market. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your family and meet other breastfeeding families while enjoying some of the goods the market has to offer.
