– More than 2000 customers visited the St. John’s Farmers Market last week. More vendors are coming this Saturday offering a great selection of products. Don’t miss our second week of the season this Saturday June 13th at the Lions Club Chalet on Bonaventure Ave from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will be open every Saturday until December 19th
More than 150 vendors applied this season and will attend the Market in rotating groups of 60-70 every week. We will have regular and several new vendors adding new flavours and colours to the Market.
Some of the products you can see at the Market include smoked fish and seafood products, Kosovian cousine, African, Indian and Thai food, gluten free and vegan treats, delicious sauces, smoked meat sandwiches, jam and preserves, crepes, waffles, a wide diversity of sweets and baked goods, artisan cheese, pickled vegetables, cold refreshing drinks, delicious local fresh brewed coffee, international food made by vendors from around the globe, and much more. Also, many local artists showing their unique craft creations, paintings, photography and the list goes on and on.

In addition, nine of our farmers will be offering high quality fresh local produce. This year we are creating farmer’s profiles with full information about their crop calendars and farm production. This month check the profiles for Ripple Trail Farm

As with every year, we will be offering outdoor activities for kids and the whole family. This Saturday Mark Burry
will perform his magic and comedy show for kids (12:00 pm- 1:00 pm, free ) and local musician Geoff Panting will play a great selection of tunes on accordion (10:00 am to 12:00 pm)
This season we will have Free yoga lessons
(July and August, 9:00 am 11:00 am), Shakespeare by The Sea
to August 15th
, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, by donation), Tai Chi workshops and much more! Please note that all outdoor activities are weather dependent.
The Lions Club chalet is wheelchair accessible and we have indoor and outdoor seating area. Please bring cash for all purchases as there isn’t an ATM on site. Parking is limited.
