The St. John’s Farmers Market is proud to announce that our online fundraising campaign has raised just over $5000 through donations from nearly 100 market visitors, vendors, and other enthusiastic supporters. This marks 5% of our overall goal of $100,000. While $5000 is a lot of money in three weeks (on average about $50 per supporter), we still have a ways to go to get to 100,000 by the end of August. So with nine weeks remaining we ask that you all come help support the St. John’s Farmers’ Market in getting to our goal.
When we reach our goal, we will be able to begin the next step: preparing our hugely anticipated, and badly needed, new, modern location at the former St. John’s Metrobus Depot. The building will be renovated to accommodate many more vendors and even more visitors. Visitors and vendors alike will be much more comfortable in the spacious and modern setting, which will accommodate more activities and maintain our high food safety standards that we currently provide.
With our new location we will be able to deliver superior customer and vendor satisfaction, contribute even more to the growing local commercial and agricultural economy, support a strong ethic of food security, and provide more parking and green space than before.
Help us reach our funding goal, help us move to our new location so we can be the Farmers’ Market you want us to be. Help us grow our community
