July 1st , ST. JOHN’S, NL– It will be a busy day at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market with exciting outdoor activities and close to 60 vendors coming to the Market this Saturday July 4th at the Lions Club Chalet on Bonaventure Ave from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Market will be open every Saturday until December 19th!
A great selection of products will be offered at the Market this week. Such as smoked fish and seafood products, Turkmenistan, Kosovan, African, Indian, and Thai food, gluten free and vegan treats, delicious sauces, smoked meat sandwiches, jam and preserves, crepes, waffles, a wide diversity of sweets and baked goods, artisan cheese, pickled vegetables, grilled gourmet cheese sandwiches, cold refreshing drinks, delicious local fresh brewed coffee, international food made by vendors from around the globe, and much more. Also, many local artists showing their unique craft creations, paintings, photography and the list goes on and on.
We will have some new vendors such as Beads By The Sea (craft), SassyTuna Studio (caricatures), Coates’ Farm, among others. Check the Vendor Info section in our website for the full vendor list for this Saturday, July 4th.
In addition, our farmers will be offering high quality fresh local produce. This year we are creating farmer’s profiles with full information about their crop calendars and farm production. This month check the profiles for Ripple Trail Farm , Murray Meadows Farm andSeed to Spoon.

Magic Comedy Show (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Free or by donation)
Also, Geoff Panting (accordion, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm) and the talented Jenna Maloney (singer/guitar, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm) will be playing a selection of classic and original tunes. Jenna will be busking supporting Terry Fox Run.
Please note that all outdoor activities are weather dependent.
The Lions Club chalet is wheelchair accessible and we have indoor and outdoor seating area. Please bring cash for all purchases as there isn’t an ATM on site. Parking is limited.
